We spent four intensive days in Veles with representatives from Student Parliaments from five universities in North Macedonia. Our trainers Arianit Xhaferi and Bojan Kordalov equipped these participants with all the necessary knowledge and techniques for the most effective protection of student rights. Aware that students have only one body within the university that represents them and their interests, we are committed to making this representation as dignified, strong, and professional as possible!
In the first module of the advanced training “Stronger Students’ Union” representatives from student parliaments from five public and public-private universities in North Macedonia were trained on the importance of student councils and student advocacy, how effective advocacy is carried out, methods of problem identification, effective communication, and more. We agreed that this collaboration should continue until the formation of a national body that will represent the interests of all students in North Macedonia.
The Advanced Training “Stronger Students Union” is part of “Promoting Youth Engagement in Accountability of Public Institutions” project supported by the National Endowment for Democracy – NED.
