A short video recording from the Student Forum has been published on the social platform ‘Facebook’. This historic event was organized by the Forum for Educational Changes on March 9, 2024 at the Youth Center in Skopje, and managed to bring together more than 100 students and activists from the entire region, namely from Albania, Kosovo, Serbia and Bulgaria.
“Today we discuss the challenges that are holding us back, and we seek solutions because we are a generation of actions, the ones who always find creative solutions, even if that sometimes means finding ways to survive the exam session with only 3 hours of sleep and questionable amounts of coffee,” said Blendi Hodai from FECh in his opening remarks.
“I am humbled every day by the intelligence, commitment, energy and creativity of young people here in North Macedonia and across the Balkans. Don’t let anyone tell you that you are too young to push for change or to make decisions. Speak up , be heard, as Bob Marley says,” said the US Ambassador to North Macedonia, Angela Price Aggeler.
“Don’t underestimate your potential to shape a better future for yourself, community and society. Don’t be put of by the cynicism of older generations or even your contemporaries. Speaking up as an individual is great, speaking up together is always better,” said David Geer, ambassador of the European Union to North Macedonia.
