The Balkan Center for Constructive Policy – Solution, in collaboration with the Forum for Educational Change (FECH), invites you to apply for Glass Half Full, an innovative training program designed to counter disinformation, polarization, and tabloidization by promoting constructive journalism.
Glass Half Full aims to equip young aspiring journalists with the knowledge and skills to provide truthful, professional, and contextualized information. By fostering balanced public discourse and bridging divides across party and ethnic lines, the program empowers citizens to make informed decisions in our democracy. This proactive approach seeks to transform media narratives and strengthen democratic values. The training consists of four modules, which will take place on:
1st training: October 17-18, 2025;
2nd training: October 31 – November 1, 2025;
3rd training: November 8-9, 2025;
4th training: TBC conjointly with participants.
During the sessions, participants will explore the theory and practice of constructive journalism, gaining fresh perspectives on tackling media challenges. After completing the modules, participants will work in groups with tailored guidance to produce professional journalistic products. The program’s outcome will be eight compelling stories, broadcast on National TV, showcasing the power of constructive journalism in action. This opportunity is open to motivated individuals with an interest in journalism and media. If you are eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to creating high-quality journalistic content, we encourage you to apply. Additionally, the selected participants who produce the TV stories will receive symbolic financial support as recognition of their efforts.
Submit your application by September 30, 2025, only if you will be available throughout the entire program. The program will be conducted in the Macedonian language, with support in the Albanian language available when needed. All accommodation and travel costs for the program will be fully covered by the organizations.
