The Student Forum organized by Forum for Educational Changes was successfully concluded . At this event, in the presence of more than 100 students and young people from the entire region, historic decisions were made for students.
The EU ambassador in Skopje, David Geer, and the US ambassador, Angela Price Aggeler, opened the Student Forum. They said that it is a historical event, they called on the students to “stand up for their rights”, referring to the official motto of the Student Forum.

Rron Gjinovci from Kosovo, Migen Qiraxhi from Albania, Lazar Begovic from Serbia and Antonio Stoichkov from Bulgaria were the first panelists of the Student Forum. They discussed about student activism and the educational system in the regional context. They enhanced the importance of cooperation between students at the regional level.

A video was shown on the LED screen about the ‘battles’ of student activists in North Macedonia for free and democratic elections of university student assemblies. Panelists Savche Gjosheva, Stefan Mladenoski, Borjan Eftimov and Sheval Ziza spoke about this video and about the evolution of student activism in our country.

Corruption in higher education was the topic of the last Student Forum panel. Blazhen Maleski, Denica Chadikovska and Gramos Buçnica talked about this topic. Everyone agreed that this phenomenon is present in our universities, encouraged the participating students to report corruption to the competent institutions.

Viktorija Postolovska from the Forum for Educational Changes presented the Student Rights Charter, through which we aim to increase student rights in the Law for Higher Education.

Blendi Hodai from the Forum for Educational Changes presented the National Student Body, emphasized that this is the first time that all student assemblies will join forces in one body.

At the end, it was discussed with the students what should (not) be included in the Student Resolution. Blendi Hodai took the opinion of the majority of those present in this regard and then all unanimously voted FOR the resolution.
With 3 panel discussions related to very important topics, the presentation of the Student Rights Charter, the creation of the National Student Body and the approval of the Student Resolution with the votes of more than 100 students present in the hall, the Student Forum was successfully concluded.
